User Reviews about Angel Sales PosturePro Lumbar Support
I'm a sloucher, have been ever since I was a child. Now that I'm 22 years old, I'm trying to improve my posture so I can sit/stand up straight for a more professional look.
To be honest, sitting with good posture hurts my back because I'm too used to slouching. Since I'm low on cash and don't feel like spending a lot of money on one of those ergonomically designed chairs, I bought this to equip on the chair I have now. You just need to strap it onto the back of your chair (preferably like the one shown in the picture) and it'll take away the pain from sitting up straight. I've been using it for a few weeks now and I find myself slouching less.
Bottom line is that this is a cheap alternative to buying a new chair if you want to improve your posture. Make sure to sit near the back of your chair and not near the front edge if you want this to work for you.
-- Lumbar Support
As everybody else has mentioned, this is a very good lightweight and inexpensive way of getting crucial lumbar support. The biggest complaint I have is that it does not stay in position all the time and I regularly have to readjust it.
The good news: for being so light, it gives great support. The mesh material offers plenty of support and makes it quite comfortable.
If you're looking for a solution that won't break your budget and don't mind the need to readjust the position of the backrest throughout the day, you cannot go wrong with this item. -- Lightweight, inexpensive back support
It worked great in my car, until I removed it at the car wash and found my leather seats had been damaged. If you have leather seats, the Homedics memory foam lumbar support is a safe choice.HoMedics Ortho Therapy Lumbar Cushion Support Pillow with Velour Cover -- Not for leather seats!
It's bouncy enough, but if you sit at the front edge of your chair like I do, it won't help any. You have to sit all the way back. Like other reviews said, it does slip. It's not awful, but it's not ideal having it so low on your chair. I like having it better than nothing, but if you can afford something a little more reliable, go for it.
-- Average back support that slips off chair
This PosturePro Lumbar Support came packaged in a monstrously-sized box which I thought was excessive, but the product itself is very nice. This item is very lightweight, and I think they it fits most office chairs and probably on a car seat too. It provides a decent amount of support and helps me to sit up straight more often than I did before. Obviously, it also takes effort of your own to improve your posture, but this PosturePro certainly makes it a little easier. When I sit in my chair at work, it also serves as a reminder that I should be sitting up straight which is nice.
Although I can't speak for this product's durability (since I've only been using it for a week), it seems like it will probably hold up well for a year (maybe more) of regular usage before it starts to wear and bend. I will try to follow-up in 6 months to a year to update on that matter.
The thing that I dislike about this item is the plastic band that wraps around the back of the chair to hold it in place. There is only one elastic band going horizontally across, and it tends to slide down on most chairs. I've rigged it up to hold into place using some pins (since I have a fabric chair... this wouldn't be smart to do on a leather chair). This is a relatively small gripe, but I knock off a star and leave this with 4 stars. Overall, a very good product, and I would make the purchase again. -- Great support and makes working more comfortable
